Normally, today is the day we’d wake up after a poor sleep, enjoy our first Euro breakfast buffet, build bikes and go for a 2hr ride to wake up the legs.
But this go round we woke up to no bikes and rain. Bit of a downer.
2hr drive home in bumper-bumper traffic at 12AM.
Lemonade out of lemons. We took a car 1hr south to San Sebastian, Spain. Had a 3hr lunch at one of the famous local 3star Michelin restaurants. Sounded like a good plan until all the rich food turned our guts inside out.
Strolled the town. Finished the night at one of the better pintxos bars.

Not much more to report when you're away for a bike event with no bike equipment. Waiting game. Though bikes were scheduled to arrive today, now we're told tomorrow, day before Day 1 start. Fingers crossed.
